Picking songs for your wedding day can be tricky.

Here are three key ideas that might make it just a little easier to choose wedding songs:

  • It’s your wedding, so if you love the song, use it.  Will the guests really remember in 5 or 10 years?  Will they be so offended they leave immediately?
  • Try not to listen to the lyrics, or at least try not to analyse them too much.  Then refer to the first point above.
  • Love the song but just can’t get past those lyrics?  Consider an instrumental version, or talk to a professional (DJ, etc) that might be able to edit the song and remove a verse you’re not sure about.
